This Spring Break, the Tuscarora varsity baseball team headed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a tournament. The team competed against 4 other teams from the east coast. They left on Friday, March 27 before school.

The varsity team faced Hudson High School from Ohio (0-1) and St. Joseph Prep School from Philadelphia (0-8) on March 28. On March 31, they also played Buckeye Valley High School from Delaware ( 1-4) and Greece Odyssey High School from New York (11-1).

“I think [it has been a] great opportunity in honing our skills as a team,” said senior Outfielder Nick DeSimone. “We finished a great home opener and I think that this tournament really [built] us as a team. We gained a lot more chemistry with one another.”

So far the team has a season record of 7-6. Coming off from a loss against Loudoun County 2-10, the team defeated Briar Woods and Potomac Falls within the past two weeks.
