The Leesburg Diner: A Written and Recorded Review
To Dine or Not to Dine?

The Leesburg Diner is a quaint and homey diner located in the heart of downtown Leesburg. The breakfast-all-day restaurant scored a questionable 3.4 stars on Yelp but a respectable 4.3 stars on Google Reviews. We decided to give it a try and were not disappointed.

Upon entering the establishment, we enjoyed the bar stools and checkered floors that are diner staples. The jazzy, old-timey music also added to the ambiance. The polite staff made sure we were seated quickly in a booth, and we had drinks almost immediately.

After browsing the menu, we decided that one of us would get breakfast and the other would get a standard entreé. We ordered one French Toast and one Cheeseburger, hoping to get a feel for  both the breakfast and non-breakfast items. The rest of the menu includes an array of diner classics such as Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs Benedict, and Chicken & Waffle.

As for the food itself, it was enjoyable but not remarkable. The taste was similar to what a homemade french toast or burger might taste like, but we still think that the ambiance of the restaurant made it worth the trip. We cleaned our plates, satisfied with our meal but missing that “wow” factor for something exceptional.

The food may come up short compared to higher-end restaurants, but the prices somewhat make up for this discrepancy. Our meals were priced at $14.50 for French Toast (which came with a side breakfast meat) and $16.00 for a Cheeseburger (which came with a side of fries). Compared to some dining options today, these prices are satisfactory for a full meal and a sit-down experience.

The Leesburg Diner’s nostalgic vibe makes for a fun and relaxing atmosphere, but if you’re looking for fine-dining, it might not be the place for you. Nevertheless, the kind waiting staff and the picturesque downtown location make The Leesburg Diner something special. Watch our vlog to hear more of our thoughts and see us narrate live!
