Ice Cream in the DMV

For the DMV, the temperatures of the past few weeks haven’t really felt like October. So while we still have our 80 degree weather, it’s best to know where exactly to enjoy nice cold ice cream before it’s too late.
For people in Maryland, try Rocky Point Creamery, located right on the Virginia border along the Potomac. Ever since it’s opening in 2011, this shop has been extremely popular among DMV residents and tourists alike. With over 80 flavors, ranging from Plain Vanilla to Butter Pecan & Mint Chocolate. According to their website, their most popular flavors include Rum Raisin, Banana Split, Mint Chip, and the classic Strawberry Ice Cream.
In DC, a popular spot among the locals is “Ice Cream Jubilee.” This is one of the highest rated ice cream shops in the area, garnering many positive reviews online. “…This was a great first treat as I embrace new beginnings in DC. Stopping here is a must on your list.” It’s only a 10 minute drive from the National Mall, and the choices on the menus are endless. Not to mention, the many dairy free options such as Salted Caramel and Key Lime Pandan Pie.
And finally, Honeybee Creamery in NoVa. With two locations in both Ashburn and Leesburg, this shoppe has many wonderful flavors of ice cream, as well as many desserts such as macaroons and milkshakes. The four star ratings and great customer service are all the more reasons to visit.
