The Merrill Lynch Wealth Management office in Leesburg selected art work by Tuscarora student, Layne Hubble, for their 2015 Holiday greeting card contest.
Layne submitted a colored drawing incorporating the downtown storefront building and the firms’ “Bull” logo with a holiday spin.
Each year, the office asks area artists to create the design for its annual holiday card. For the last few years they have sponsored a contest for local high school art students to submit original artwork. Visual Arts Teach Jim Haller coordinated the entries for Tuscarora High School art students.
“This is our way of supporting high school art programs and historic downtown Leesburg” said Wealth Management Advisor Rebecca Lynes.
Layne accepted the $500 prize in December at the downtown office and is shown here with the finished card.
