The holiday season. It’s the time of year many look forward to, as it’s spent participating in a variety of activities. For some, it is a time of rest and gathering, but for others, it is a time for shopping and finding the best deals.
Sophomore Britney Dowd enjoys being able to spend time with her family. “My favorite part of the holiday season is being able to spend time with my family. We would make cookies for
holiday dinners, [and] that’s always fun,” said Dowd.
Math teacher Ms. Jessica Diaz Collazo also uses the holiday season to spend time with loved ones, saying, “I love the holidays because I can actually spend time with my husband and dog.”
With the holiday season comes great savings, and most people will not miss an opportunity to save. “On Black Friday, pretty much everything is on sale, and I love that. I go to any store that has cute stuff. I go to department stores too,” said Dowd
Senior Erica Walker preferred to avoid the hassle and chaos of Black Friday, saying, “I try to shop before Black Friday…because it’s so hectic,” She went on to say that she preferred to shop after the day so there is plenty of items in stock.
In the end, the holidays are unique to the individual. They give people the opportunity to do what they enjoy with who they want.
