On this week’s What’s New In Entertainment, we have the movie Don’t Look Up which is on Netflix and is causing a storm. Don’t Look Up has ranked third place in Netflix’s Top 10. 

This American Science fiction comedy film written by Adam Mckay tells the story of two junior astronomers attempting to warn humanity about an approaching comet that will eventually destroy Human civilization in 6 months. The film features an unbeatable cast including Leonardo DiCaprio , Jennifer Lawrence , Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Tyler Perry , Ariana Grande, Meryl Streep , among others.

It kicks off in Michigan  State University where an astronomy  PHD student, Kate Diblasky , discovers a previously undetermined near-earth object while using the Subaru Telescope. She shares her findings with her professor Dr. Randall Mindy who, much to their horror, discovers that it is a comet that will collide with Earth in 6 months. These findings are secretly confirmed by NASA who send their Planetary Defence Coordination office head , Dr Teddy Oglethorpe , to accompany Kate and Randall to the white house and break the news to the president . 

Overall this movie is one for the books!
