The equity committee is looking for donations for their Black History Month assembly as well as the THS Mentor program. The Black History Month assembly will be held in February and the equity committee is asking for monetary donations to purchase costumes and props. Money collected will also be used for trips for the students and staff members involved in the THS Mentor program.
The equity committee’s motto is “Promoting equality among the Husky Nation,” and these two upcoming programs are just part of their goal to promote equality among all Tuscarora students. This will be the second annual Black History Month assembly at Tuscarora, as well as the second year for the mentor program.
For more information, contact Mrs. Gueits in the foreign language department or Mrs. Hall in the main office. Donations can also be given to both Mrs. Gueits or Mrs. Hall.
